Roselyne Bachelot

Overview

Chirac, Sarkozy, Mélenchon, Macron… This lunch will be a chance to hear some colourful first-hand accounts from a legendary former minister who is not afraid to speak her mind and will reveal the flaws and faults of our politicians.

She will walk us through the great gallery of the politicians who have made France what it is today.

First the big cats: de Gaulle, who had sensed a change of era, Chirac the seducer, Sarkozy the fighter.

Then the monsters: Jean-Luc Mélenchon haunted by anger, Marine Le Pen undermined by her destructive parentage, Emmanuel Macron, who emerged rootless from the rubble of an old world both hated and missed.

Everywhere, money and its excesses, ambition, betrayals... The Fifth Republic is falling apart, the parties are in ruins, our society is broken into a thousand communities.

Roselyne Bachelot has followed this transformation closely and has had hands-on experience of the big cats and the monsters, all those whose unsuccessful attempts to be loved have exhausted us.

Another chapter of France's history is in the making. She’s going to tell us all about it.

For many years now, Roselyne Bachelot has been a regular contributor on the RTL show LES GROSSES TÊTES hosted by Laurent Ruquier, which very often deals with current affairs. There she has demonstrated her keen sense of humour, but above all her seamless knowledge.
